Neat Labor Time Line

In the month of September, we will focus on the history of labor in our country. For a general overview, today’s featured link is a in-depth time line of the labor force from 1607-2010.

It is interesting to see how people in history stood up for their rights as human beings and as workers and how that changed working conditions.

What is your favorite era from the time line?

  1. I think it’s interesting that the first thing the colonists did was complain there weren’t enough laborers. Not that there weren’t enough colonists, but not enough workers. Maybe they should have thought about who was going to do the work before they packed their bags and sailed for America. Or perhaps they thought everybody else was going to do the work. Wow — doesn’t seem like our mind set has changed much in over 400 years 🙂
