Independence

Independence is what Cassie Riverton wants, but she didn’t exactly envision  having to move to Independence, Kansas to achieve her goal. After inheriting her  grandmother’s house and then losing her fiancee in a freak accident, she moves  to the small town to fulfill the requirements of the will: that she live in the  house for at least one year.

 

Troy DuBois thought he had life all figured  out, that is, until his fiancee dumped him for someone else. When he meets  Cassie Riverton, he signs on to help her remodel her recently inherited house.  In the process, he is going to keep her at arm’s length; no way is he going to  let another money-grubbing woman under his skin.
